Introduction
There are two types of training offered:
Product training is the training related to the product offerings. For each product, there will be one or more training courses. This type of training is very specific to the customer requirements and thus is usually contracted on a company basis. This means that the attendees to the course will all be from the same company, and all will have the same goal to achieve from the training. These types of courses are partially customized to meet the requirements of the user.
Workshops are not product specific, but rather are used to teach a specific concept or process. They are usually in a classroom setting and will involve many people The upper limit of a workshop is about 24 people, and will usually require some preparation work before the start of the workshop. All currently offered workshops are offered only on a company contract basis.
Product Training
There are several different approaches for training related to RG Solutions®:
| 1. |
The Basic product training is very minimum and can generally be done without an on site visit. |
| 2. |
The Standard product training is provided at initial installation. This is very basic and allows for the reporting of information on a regular basis. |
| 3. |
The Enterprise training allows for the closer integration of the product information with the business. The product capabilities are extensive and can be daunting if done without proper training and preparation. |
| 4. |
The Professional version allows for the extending and expanding of the product capabilities for increased business value. |
The initial stage is to use the product as recommended in the product documentation. This type of processing will fill the initial needs of all customers, and fulfill the business needs for most customers. In some cases, no other processing is required.
Once the product has been established and used, it will then be possible to understand additional requirements and to implement those requirements. Therefore, it is recommended that the product training be done in up to three phases depending on the business requirements.

Workshops
A workshop is an intensive exposure to a particular topic or process. The intended result is that the participants come away from the workshop with a good understanding of the topic or process. In order to archive this goal, it is necessary to ask a lot of cooperation and participation from the attendees. For this reason, attendees are asked to prepare work before attending the workshop, and will be expected to complete some work in the early evenings of the workshop. The attendee will not come away with a full learning experience if this commitment is not met.
A workshop is conducted in a classroom setting, and will generally revolve around one or more real world type of cases. The individuals in the class will be divided into groups in order to achieve a more productive working environment.
While there is no right or wrong answer to a case, the case discussion creates an opportunity for the participants to offer their ideas as well as to hear the ideas of other attendees. The overall intent of the learning process is to explore the many issues associated with a particular process or topic, and to come away with ideas and information in order to understand or implement the process.
