IBM Systems
There are two operating systems from IBM that are supported. The AIX operating system is a UNIX based operating system.
The AIX collecting agent is provided in the form of a "C" source file. This file is then compiled and deployed by the customer in a secured manner. The collecting activity of the agent will result in a daily file for the system.
AIX Operating System
The i5 (A/S 400) is a proprietary based operating system. The i5 operating does not require any special agent to collect the performance information, however, there are some items that have to be setup on the system in order to perform the processing.
i5 Operating System
Microsoft Systems
The entire range of Micrsoft operating systems since Windows 95 is supported by the current processing.
The agent program for Microsoft Windows will collect performance information from any system that is running a Microsoft Windows NT or later operating system. The agent will gather performance information from the target system and will place that information into a file (one file per day). The resulting file will be used for input into the core RG Solutions® product. The agent program is provided free of charge.
Windows Operating System
Sun Systems
The Sun Solaris operating system is UNIX based operating system. The Solaris collecting agent is provided in the form of a "C" source file. This file is then compiled and deployed by the customer in a secured manner. The collecting activity of the agent will result in a daily file for the system.
Sun Solaris Operating System
Unisys Systems
Only the MCP operating system is supported at this time.
The agent will collect information through standard API's and will place the information in a daily file. The agent is free of charge and is provided in the form of source files. This files are then compiled and deployed by the customer in a secured manner. The agent program is provided free of charge.
